Edwardian Hotel 55

If you want to stay in a classic-looking, and traditional hotel, then Hotel 55 is a great place to stay. In fact, the hotel is an Edwardian house that has been converted to be a tad more modern – but maintains its traditional charm. It feels less like a hotel and more like a cosy home away from home.

What’s great too is that it’s pretty affordable for London, with double bedrooms from £85 per night, including breakfast.

The breakfast and dining room is particularly pleasant, which is located within a glass extension that looks over the well-groomed English garden. The bar area is pretty nice for a hotel on the smaller side. This is really a great opportunity to stay in a homely, traditional building and get a real British experience out of your stay. It’s not in a central location, but there are plenty of underground stations nearby making travel easy, and it’s close enough to Heathrow for it to be easy to get to after your flight.
